The Morrison Family College of Health is committed to a strong liberal arts foundation, with rigor in the science and humanities alongside the provision of exceptional applied learning experiences in the community to help students graduate ready to embrace the complex challenges in society.
Students study the latest research and methodologies in the classroom with opportunities to practice immediately in the real world through internships and placements in the community in every sector. With access to world-class technology and lab equipment even as undergraduates, students hone their skills through intensive simulations, case studies, and projects that advance the common good.

Invaluable Experiences
Students apply what they learn in the classroom in the real world through field placements, practica and internships.
Social Work Undergraduate Field
Students have often referred to their field placement experiences as transformational. Those at the junior level complete 200 hours and seniors complete 400 hours in the field.
Social Work Graduate Field
Planned field experiences are a vital component of the social work educational process. MSW field placements, arranged by the School of Social Work, provide opportunities in many relevant settings.
Graduate Psychology Master's Practicum
MA students can apply to a wide range of agencies to complete their practicum such as university counseling centers, community mental health clinics, correctional facilities and hospitals.
Graduate Psychology Doctoral Practicum
PsyD students build upon their master’s-level practicum with advanced psychological services practica.
Health and Exercise Science Internships
Majors in the Department of Health and Exercise Science complete a 100-hour internship with one-on-one guidance from a department faculty to provide them with quality experience to guide them down the right career path.

Health and Exercise Science Facilities and Equipment
The Department of Health and Exercise Science is located in the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. Students can learn assessment skills on advanced, industry-specific equipment to put their academic studies to the test and learn in a hands-on environment. Students learn on the same equipment used at some of the most advanced private companies and nonprofit organizations.
