Dr. Salina Renninger is the Director of Training for doctoral students in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology. She is a licensed psychologist who, prior to joining the faculty at the University of St. Thomas, worked for several years as the Director of Training at an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in a university setting. Her early training experiences were in community mental health and university settings and her interests flow from her work in those settings. Her interests include clinical supervision and training, college student mental health, attending to culture and other diversity variables in training and therapy, therapy to address the needs of those who have experienced complex trauma, and understanding what makes psychotherapy effective. Dr. Renninger is passionate about her work with psychologists-in-training. She is committed to helping students develop into strong critical thinkers who engage in reflective practice and life-long learning.
