Integrating Indigenous Practices and Western Medicine

Too often, we hear about health disparities impacting Native American communities without also learning about promising strategies to improve health outcomes. Dr. Antony Stately and other leaders from the Native American Community Clinic (NACC), a health care clinic founded with a mission to promote health and wellness of mind, body and spirit in Native American families, will talk about their approach at our next Health Equity Breakfast at Wilder Foundation.

Attendees will hear how NACC's model of care centers Indigenous knowledge and wisdom, and learn about ways that spiritual practices and ceremonies are being integrated with Western medicine to improve health outcomes.

Native American Community Clinic (NACC) Panelists:

  • Dr. Antony Stately, Executive Officer & President
  • Ashlee Jallen, Director of Traditional Healing
  • Ursula Poolaw-Ruth, Maternal Health Program Manager
